It is a sign of respect to serve the platter of boiled lamb with the head facing the guest. Usually a platter with a head on it is placed in front of chiefs and other important people...The women spend most of their time making dough, baking bread, milking cows, taking care of children, preparing food, etc. as the men gather out front of the compound. Women wear black as a sign of mourning for a close loved one that has died; some for a year and some forever after the death.
