Guests including tribal chiefs and members of the extended Al-kasid family are served cigarettes as they gather at the Al-kasid family's Istikbal, or homecoming, in their home village Suq ash Shuyukh about 20 miles southeast of Nasiriyah, Iraq, Tuesday, July 29, 2003. The men gather in Motheff, traditional long houses made of date tree wood, branches and reeds that last about six years before a new one must be built.
